Clare's Preserves Spiced Damson Chutney
Clare Gault set up Clare's Preserves in our home town of Bovey Tracey last year, and we're delighted to be adding some of her beautiful hand-made chutneys to our shelves.
In this chutney local damsons are slowly cooked with onions and apples and a blend of spices; the result is spicy, sweet and tangy all at the same time. Works well with dry sharp cheeses and cold meats.
NB Yes, I know the jar says 'plums'! But recently Clare has found a great local source of damsons, so now this is specifically a damson chutney ...
