Gould's Apple Brandy
Gould's Apple Brandy was made from 3 varieties of Heritage apples grown in the Veryan Orchard on the Roseland Peninsula in Cornwall: Harry Masters Jersey, Michelin and Yarlington Mill. It was double distilled in copper Alembics in Penzance, matured for about 3 years in an American White Oak Bourbon barrel.
There's then a choice of two versions - each finished off in a different type of barrel:
Whisky barrel: finished by maturing further in an Islay Whisky barrel to give background peat and smoke.
Pomona barrel: slightly darker, sweeter.
